Yay for vacation

I'm so excited to be spending a few days in Mackinaw city. If you are not from Michigan it's truly an amazing place. My little one has been at camp all week and my niece is driving her up today. I missed her so so much. It's raining so this morning has been spent on my phone on Pinterest. Did you know you can get a ton of "Happy Planner" printables off Pinterest ?  I'm totally addicted to mine. I also
Brought along my cookbook collection and am planning on meal planning while here.
I haven't decided weather to go to the island or not this time around. It's pretty expensive to get over there. My niece is going because her boyfriend has never been so I may take my son who has never been either. My daughter had the opportunity to go last year with the Girl Acouts. My computer is down for a bit so I have to blog from my phone which is why I haven't been on much.
Here is my baby girl at her brownie bridging ceremony. I can't believe how big kids are getting. My goal for vacation is my usual apron and a Christmas Ornament lol.

     This post is coming a tad late because frankly, I couldn’t bring myself to write it. Sunday  was Mother’s Day. The one day of the year besides my birthday when I don’t  have to do anything. And please don’t misunderstand me, with my kids it was lovely. Until last night when my daughter got sick. Autism and High School Well its official, we have moved beyond the world of not thinking about what Autism would look like in adulthood to being smacked in the face with it. AGGGHH HELP. What it looks like at this point is that Caleb will have a Social Skills class, much like the one he has now, everyday. He gets 1 elective which for Caleb is always art. I can remember him being a 6 year old and we went to the Library. At our local library the is this statue with a little boy holding a teddy bear and my mom look at me and says "Mom, why do you think the artist was thinking when he used a teddy bear?" I have never been able to look at art and see those things so as you can imagine, I was shocked as well as clueless. Ever since then he is a very talented artist who blows my mind. My life is changing quicker than I can keep up with it

Is anyone else feeling that their world is spinning out of control? This COVID-19 is an entirely new experience, the world has never seen anything like this. All the things I have depended on my entire life are now in limbo. Add to that some personal problems I am having and wow. My children are scared. I like so many others have no answers for them. I am thankful they are older and can entertain themselves. But my Aspbergers son is freaking out, although he would never admit it. We cannot go to church and wouldn't if we could. We stay united to our family in Christ by Zoom and you tube. I am thankful I have the hope of Jesus in a time such as this. We have not been leaving the house but we do have an essential worker that does. I clean non-stop. I miss my daddy. I would like to go see him but like so many other protecting their parents, I won't. I would rather stay away and see him when this is over. I am praying for those in the hospital.
